The Good Cheer Food Pantry is sponsored by St. Luke Lutheran Church, Greeley and is housed in the St. Luke Center Building/St. Luke Pre-School, Church Office, Good Cheer Food Pantry. (Located in building between St. Luke Lutheran Church and the Lackawaxen Township Branch of the Pike County Library on Route 590 in Greeley, PA), Route 580, Greeley. Clients are required to provide proof of residency and proof of income.
Clients are offered non-perishable food from the pantry. The pantry also offers food baskets at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The pantry is staffed completely by volunteers. Funds used to support the food pantry are provided through the application of grants to the United Way of Pike County, The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, Pike County and the Northeastern PA Synod, ELCA. Members of the congregations, as well as other congregations, organizations, businesses, and private members of the community, donate food and funds to the pantry.
The pantry serves 20 to 35 families a month. Approximately 30-50 food baskets are prepared for holidays. All clients from our community are welcome.
